After coming back home, Lukpan Akhmedyarov learned that he did not have the right to leave the country

Lukpan Akhmedyarov, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya", came by plane from Istanbul to Astana on October 27, and the border guard was very surprised when he saw his passport. He said that Lukpan could not leave the country, because a legal executor limited his departure outside Kazakhstan under a long-standing civil suit.

Akhmedyarov made sure that there are no restrictions for leving the country checking the informaton on the website of the Ministry of Justice. However, the border guard said that the informaton from the official website of the Ministry of Justice is not recognized by the border guard service, because they have their own restricted database “Berkut”.

 It turned out to be  impossible for the journalist to find out any details about what kind of database it was.
