The date was set for the trial on the suit of journalist Akmaral Shayakhmetova against an official

The correspondent of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" Akmaral Shayakhmetova was informed about the date of the trial by sms. The short message said that the trial was scheduled for Monday, September 11 at 11.30AM. The case will be heard  at the City Court No. 2 of Uralsk by judge Shynargul Shaidieva.

Akmaral Shayakhmetova filed a lawsuit against the official of the housing and communal services department and the housing inspection of Uralsk Askhat Shadyarov. According to the journalist, during the meeting with the residents of a multi-storey house, where to journalists and employees of the housing and communal services were also invited, Shadyarov refused to give her information saying that he had already provided all the information to another media.

- I ran after him with the recorder turned on, but he did not even turn around, took a quick step towards his car, sat down in it and left, - said Akmaral Shayakhmetova. - The official violated several articles of the Constitution and the law on mass media and he seemed even not realizing it. We all live in Kazakhstan and must know the laws of our country and the ignorance of the law is no excuse.
