Arguments in court of case on attempt on journalist of newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" Lukpan Akhmedyarov were closed

There was a continuation of trial on charge of Askhat Takhambetov, Mursalim Sultangereyev, Manarbek Akbulatov and Almaz Batyrkhairov with attempted homicide of journalist of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" Lukpan Akhmedyarov in Specialized Interdistrict Court of Criminal Cases of West Kazakhstan Oblast.
The newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" informed that on July 05, 2013 there were arguments in court. Public Prosecutor Tamara Sarsenova has said that guilt of accussed persons, related to accusation presented under article 24 "Preparation for a Crime and an Attempted Crime", article 96 "Murder" and article 235 "The Creation and Guidance of an Organised Criminal Group or Criminal Association (Criminal Organisation), and Participation in a Criminal Association" of Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan was proved completely. Public Prosecutor Tamara Sarsenova has thought that criminals intended to kill journalist namely, but not to intimidate him. Public Prosecutor Tamara Sarsenova has asked court to prescribe the punishment Askhat Takhambetov up to sixteen years of imprisonment in colony with a strict regime; Mursalim Sultangereyev up to fourteen years of imprisonment in colony of special regime; Manarbek Akbulatov up to fourteen years of imprisonment in colony of strict regime; Almaz Batyrkhairov up to eleven years of imprisonment in colony of strict regime.
Lukpan Akhmedyarov asked the court to impose Askhat Takhambetov and Mursalim Sultangereyev maximum severe punishment and to impose Manarbek Akbulatov and Almaz Batyrkhairov minimum punishment possibly. Journalist explained his position in the following manner. "Takhambetov and Sultangereyev have not been performers. They have been organizers; they knew a name of patron, kept a silence".
The lawyer of Almaz Batyrkhairov (in particular, he shot from traumatic pistol) thought his client has been innocent of attempted homicide and participation in organized crime group. He said that his client has been guilty of causing bodily harm to journalist.
The accussed Askhat Takhambetov has not also admit his guilt and added that he has not ask pardon L. Akhmedyarov, "because Takhambetov has not see him".
The accussed persons should have the last say and the sentence should be passed.
