Radio signal jamming equipment which is purchased by Kazakhstan in Great Britain can threat to freedom of speech of country

Britain has approved the sale of radio signal jamming equipment to Kazakhstan. The information on it was placed on the website www.centralasianewswire.com and published in report for 2009 of Strategic Export Controls of Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Reporters think, that purchase of equipment, which is capable of jamming satellite television and radio transmission and broadcasts. It raised concerns regarding Kazakhstan's human rights record, including internal pressure upon media outlets and freedom of speech.
Department of Human Rights and Democracy of Foreign and Commonwealth Office informed that the technical assessment of the equipment revealed that the equipment could be used for satellite jamming, it would be difficult technically.
