Minister of Communication and Information of Republic of Kazakhstan ordered to make monitoring of all media outlets

On July 21, 2010 Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Zhumagaliev has signed an order “On Method of Monitoring of Media Outlets Subjected to Keeping of Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

Media outlets and Internet of the Republic of Kazakhstan should conform to this order.

There were violations subjected to monitoring “prejudice of outcomes of the legal proceeding, a case, which was examined by trial, or “impact on court before entry of judicial act into legal force”, “issue of periodical, printed periodical edition without adjusted data lines; abuse of laws “On Languages”, “On Advertising”, “On State Secrets” and others.

The monitoring would be implemented by local executive organs and controlled by authorised organ (it meant Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan). Officials of akimats (administration), who have made monitoring implementation, should fulfill protocols of administrative violations and send them to judicial bodies.
