Conflict of servicemen of printing house “Kometa S” and lawyer Sergei Utkin with tax officers was continued

There was a press conference on June 28, 2010 in Almaty. Lawyer of Printing House “Kometa S” Sergei Utkin, Director of Printing House “Kometa S” Julia Kozlova and Financial Consultant Olga Bruzh said about groundless and illegal tax pretensions to Sergei Utkin and printing house.
Tax officers said that servicemen of printing house had no any right to use interest- free, interim funding. It was provided by the founder. They thought that servicemen of printing house “Kometa S” decreased the cost of newspaper in comparison with the average price on market. As a result of it there was a tax underpayment in budget.
On June 18, 2010 servicemen of printing house “Kometa S” brought a suit against tax office of Almaly district of Almaty to Economic Court. This suit was provided for appeal of decision of tax officers in regard to the printing house.
Tax officers thought that the activity of Sergei Utkin providing of legal services has been constitutional one. He could be fined on grand sums and instituted to criminal responsibility for evasion of taxes.
Sergei Utkin thought that such approach established a dangerous precedent for all businessmen, who rendered different services.

In September 2009, financial police seized equipment of printing house; director was instituted to criminal responsibility. Printing equipment was seized during a year.
