Deputy Nurtay Sabilyanov demanded to revoke expert examination

Deputy of Majilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtay Sabilyanov applied for Public Centre of Expertise of Information Disputes of Public Foundation “Adil Soz”. He asked to revoke expert examination of the letter of electors from court. Nurtay Sabilyanov expressed his disagreement, concerning expert conclusions.
Deputy of Majilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtay Sabilyanov addressed to Ayaguz District Court of East Kazakhstan region with suit about protection of honor and dignity in relation to his voters T. Akhmetov, S. Fayzulin and other ones. They told about problems of drinking water and roads in the district in her collective letter. Journalist Yerik Rakhim has published an article “Inhabitants of Tarbagatay paid their attention not to Astana, but to Oskemen (Ust-Kamenogorsk)” on October 15, 2009.
Nurtay Sabilyanov thought that dissatisfactions of his voters have been groundless. He demanded that they address to newspaper for publication of refutation of material in the letter. There was no any information on recovery of moral damage in suit.
Specialists of Public Centre of Expertise of Information Disputes of International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech “Adil Soz” have made expert examination of the letter upon a petition of defendants. The letter has been as reminder of electors, concerning quality of drinking water and roads. There was no information on law violation by deputy and moral principles of the society.
Deputy Nurtay Sabilyanov changed his statement of claim after receiving of outputs of linguistic expertise. He demanded the protection of business reputation and recovery of 500000 tenge ($3401USD) from authors of the letter.
