Fake accounts with provocative comments on behalf of BES.media have emerged on the internet

On June 14, 2023, the editorial team of BES.media released an official statement. According to the representatives of this independent media-project, unidentified individuals created social media accounts impersonating their media outlet. These accounts utilized the logo of BES.media and began posting provocative comments with the intent to incite ethnic and racial hatred, as well as offensive remarks. The journalists emphasized that they were not associated with these comments in any way.

"BES.media is an officially registered mass media organization established by journalists. Our role as a media outlet is to present facts and offer a wide range of expert opinions on important issues, without passing judgment on current events. We openly express our personal opinions in public discussions and on social media platforms. We do not hide behind fake accounts and always transparently present our point of view," stated the representatives of BES.media on their social media accounts. They also mentioned that they have already reported the matter to law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Information and Social Development  to identify the individuals responsible for these fake accounts and ensure they are held accountable.
