Adil soz: Klebanov (Manevich) should take a polygraph examination

The investigation into a series of attacks on journalists and the media attracted a lot of public attention. The victims publicly doubted that Arkady Klebanov (Manevich), the suspect in the criminal case, organized the said crime out of personal grounds. In order to verify the his testimony and dispel the doubts of the victims and the public, Adil Soz recommends that Klebanov (Manevich) should take a polygraph examination.

In accordance with  Part 11 of Article 123 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, various ways of securing evidence along with the preparation of protocols, sound, video, film, photography, making casts, impressions, plans, diagrams can be used.

Polygraph examination of evidence is one of the scientifically based technical means that does not contradict the norms and principles of the law, ensures the efficiency of criminal proceedings and safe to use.

A polygraph (lie detector)  examination using the scientific and technical means is officially carried out by polygraph examiners in the Republic of Kazakhstan to verify truth of a person's testimony.

We believe it necessary to involve a specialist polygraph examiner from the Eurasian Association of Polygraph Examiners to conduct a polygraph examination of Klebanov (Manevich) in this criminal case to check if someone else ordered the crime and the credibility of personal grounds stated  by Klebanov.
