International foundation for protection of\r\nfreedom of speech «Adil Soz» has conducted a survey, concerning in the\r\nsphere of violation of right to freedom of expression, receiving and\r\ndissemination of information in January, 2015.
\r\nThere was following information:
-Editor-in-chief of magazine “ADAM bol”\r\nGuljan Ergalieva has gone on indefinite hunger-strike.
-Event \"Meeting with Readers\" in\r\nprotection of magazine “ADAM bol” was held without in the absence of key\r\ninitiators of meeting. They were detained by policemen, prior to launching of\r\nevent.
-There was preliminary court hearing, towards\r\ncharge of Tatiyana Shevtsova-Valova with incitement of national enmity in court\r\nof Almaty.
-The court has imposed on public defender\r\nMusagali Duambekov recovery of KZT400000 (1USD=185.58) as moral damage\r\ncompensation in favour of businessmen Mukashevs. The judgment came into effect.
-Employees of all sub-divisions of state\r\ninstitutions should introduce with “Manual for Employees of State\r\nInstitutions and Bodies on Work in Internet, Including in Social Networks and\r\nOn Blog-Platforms”.
Four new court hearings of suits on protection of honour, dignity and\r\nbusiness reputation in the amount of KZT51000000 which were brought against\r\nmedia outlets and citizens.
\r\nIn January, 2015 media outlets and citizens resulting from execution of\r\nright to freedom of expression, receiving and dissemination of information were\r\nbrought
\r\n- 1 charge of libel;
- 3 pre-trial complaints of protection of honour, dignity and business\r\nreputation.
In January, 2015 nine cases over suits on protection of honour, dignity\r\nand business reputation(passing data-5) for a total amount of KZT246000000\r\nmillions (incl., passing data -KZT195000000).
