International\r\nFoundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech «Adil\r\nSoz»\r\nhas conducted a survey of violations of right to freedom of\r\nexpression, receiving and dissemination of information in June, 2016\r\nin Kazakhstan.

«KAZKOMMERTSBANK»\r\nasked appellate instance to mitigate punishment for journalist Guzyal\r\nBaidalinova. \r\n
\r\n

The\r\ncourt has found guilty in insult editor of newspaper «Zhemkorlyk\r\n– Korlyk»(«Corruption\r\nis Insult»)\r\nAset Assandi. He said about his intention to appeal against sentence\r\nin the appellate instance. \r\n
\r\n
\r\n
The\r\ncourt has aggravated conditions of house arrest for Chairman of Union\r\nof Journalists of Kazakhstan Seitkazy Matayev. \r\n

Ministry\r\nof Justice has registered an order of Approval of Rules of\r\nAccreditation of Representative Offices of Foreign Media Outlets and\r\nJournalists. \r\n

In\r\nMay, two judicial acts of cases over suits on protection of honour,\r\ndignity and business reputation were passed; one of them in favour of\r\njournalists and citizens.

-41\r\ncharges with slander (23 – passing data, Amangeldy Botabekov; 22\r\nlectures of Institute of Economy and Law);

-2\r\ncharges with propaganda or public calls on forced seizure of power;
\r\n
\r\n
-6\r\ncharges with incitement of social, religious and national enmity\r\n(article 174 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan); 3 of\r\nthem are passing data S. Mambetalin, E. Narymbaev and E.\r\nThaichibekov;
\r\n
\r\n
-\r\n1 charge with propaganda of terrorism (passing data, B. Satkangulov);
\r\n
\r\n
-\r\n6 charges with dissemination of misleading information (article 274\r\nof Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 1 of them – JSC\r\n«KAZKOMMERTSBANK»\r\nagainst\r\njournalists of Internet-portal\r\nНАКАНУНЕ.kz);
\r\n-1\r\ncharge with evasion of the payment of taxes;
\r\n-1\r\ncharge with embezzlement of entrusted of the other property;
\r\n-1\r\ncharge with extortion (passing data, Y. Golyshkin);
