Newspaper “Vecherniy Almaty” and court secretary Karlygash Molbayeva have come to amicable agreement

Legal proceeding by suit of Secretary of Bostandyk Court Karlygash Molbayeva to the newspaper “Vecherniy Almaty” about protection of right for picture and recovery of damage in court № 2 of Zhetysu district of Almaty was finished on January 13, 2009.
The charges stemmed from article “Sleep, but there is legal proceeding” with photo from court room on August 16, 2008. There was a photo of sleeping woman, who has sat down at the place of secretary of judicial session. The plaintiff has recognized herself. There was demand to make refutation and recovery of the damage.
Both parties have come to amicable agreement during legal proceeding. The plaintiff has refused from recovery of the damage. Defendants have said that photo of Karlygash Molbayeva was made without her permission and it was not related to the material, plaintiff as court secretary and title of the article “Sleep, but there is legal proceeding”.
Legal proceeding by this suit was finished.
The lawyer of International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech “Adil soz” Ganna Krasilnikova has presented interests of the newspaper “Vecherniy Almaty”.
