Journalist Lukpan Akhmedyarov detained in Uralsk
On the morning of January 5, Lukpan was driving his car when he noticed a police car driving behind him. His car was stopped and two men in civilian clothes said that he had been detained "to be delivered to police." No one had earlier handed the journalist any summons, therefore, there could be no question of forced delivery to the police. Such measure is used if a person did not appear voluntarily on the summons. Nevertheless, Akhmedyarov was detained.
“Lukpan called me when he realized that he would be detained, and I heard the whole conversation,” said Akhmedyarov's colleague Raul Uporov. - Those who stopped the car did not want to introduce themselves for a long time, but in the end they still identified themselves. According to them, they were Bagdat Togelov and Meirbek Ikhlasov. Lukpan tried to explain that he had not received any summons, and demanded that they provide it to him. I can’t say whether they showed him the summons or not, I could only hear their conversation, but as far as I understand, they didn’t give him the summons. At some point, the conversation was interrupted, and I realized that he was taken away. Akhmedyarov was taken to the city department of internal affairs without clear reasons for the detention.
“I was told that there are several questions for me,” the journalist said. - I spent several hours in the city department. Investigator Bigaliyev interrogated me about my participation in banned organizations. It is unknown what case they are investigating. After the questioning, the investigator handed Akhmedyarov a summons for 4 PM on the same day. The summons does not contain information on the case that is investigated.
