Journalist Ermurat Bapi detained

On November 14, journalist Ermurat Bapi, the publisher of the oldest opposition newspaper DAT, was detained on his way to a rally in Almaty, KazTAG reports.
“Ermurat Bapi was on his way to the rally. He was detained on the way and taken to the police department of the Medeu district. He managed to call me before that. Now his phone is turned off, ” - journalist Inga Imanbai told International news agency KazTAG.
Almaty police department has not yet relied KazTAG's request to comment the reason for Bapi's detention .
As it was reported, on March 1, Bapi and dozens of other activists were detained under similar circumstances, at the time of a mass rally in Almaty.
