UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech "Adil Soz", International Freedom of Expression Exchange and Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan have made an announcement about open contest of carricatures "Freedom of Speech No Speech" on the eve of World Press Freedom Day.
Reporters and media painters have been contest participants. Contest organizers took carricatures and cartoons.
There were nominations:
1. You must not blame the mirror
2.Disparagement and immorality
3. In zone of unfrighetened journalists
4. Ability was risen
5. A sword of Damocles over Procrustean bed
There will be diplomas and cash award.
Best of the best caricatures, or cartoons will be exhibited in one of the art gallery of town, published in popular press of the Republic of Kazakhstan; the calendary for 2011-2012 will be decorated by them.
Awards "Provide Electivity of Judges!" of jury probationers was begun. Works with note "Contest of Carricatures", format A-4 (colour and black and white) and surnames of jury probationers are taken on April 15, 2011 via email: malygina@adilsoz.kz; info@adilsoz.kz.
