Statement to lend support to editorial newspaper of "Uralskaya Nedelya"

Newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" – is an exclusibe edition in Kazakhstan, where the staff is as founder and as shareholder. It is on the verge of closure.
Editorial staff of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" should recover KZT20000000 (USD136000) as moral damage to the joint-stock company "Tengizneftstroy". The charges stemmed from article "For cover of tender" by Lukpan Akhmedyarov. Editorial staff has no such money.
All court instances were passed; court executive officers have already levied tight distress of the editorial staff. There was only one chance. It was necessary to apply for plaintiff to release a claim for compensation of material damage and execution of judgment by suit about protection of business reputation.

Newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" – is an exclusibe edition in Kazakhstan, where the staff is as founder and as shareholder. Independent editorial policy and allegiance to interests of readers made this nespaper popular in West Kazakhstan and reputable in the country.
More five years newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" carries out an action "Serve the Cause". This action was devoted to help for children, who need in heart surgery. Journalists collected necessary funds for thirty-seven children during these years with the help of great reputation of newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" and believe of readers.
Now, newspaper is on the verge of closure. According to court decision, founder of the newspaper LLP "Journalistkaya Initsiativa" should recover KZT20000000 (USD13605) as moral damage for joint-stock company "Tengizneftstroy".
It is impossible to execute judgment, because editorial staff of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" has no such money. As a result of it popular and independent edition can be closed.
We call on you to show generosity and to release a claim for compensation of material damage and execution of judgment by suit about protection of business reputation of joint-stock company "Tengizneftstroy". It has played a great role in development of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; should not influence on editorial staff of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya". We call upon you to make magnanimity for the benefit of children. They need in assistance of editorial staff of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya". Now, there are seven children, who need in heart surgery. Future publication of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" will save the life of the other children.
