Law enforcement officers seized property of newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya"

On November 05, 2010 law enforcement officers seized three computers, two printers and two telephones of the editorial office of newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya". The property of editorial office was seized, according to court decision by suit of JSC "Tengizneftstroy" to the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" and journalist Lukpan Akhmedyarov.
Defendants should recover KZT 20 000 000 (USD136000) as moral damage in solidary order. The charges stemmed from article "For cover of tender" by Lukpan Akhmedyarov, which was published in the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" on August 08, 2009.
In September, 2010 court decision was come into law-enforcement. On October 27, 2010 accounts of the newspaper "Uralskaya Nedelya" were blocked.
Attachment of account of owner of the newspaper was seized on the whole amount of KZT 20 000 000 (USD136000).
