Reporter of Internet-video portal "Stan.kz" Igor Petrov and camera man Eugene Sazin can be persecuted

On November 05, 2010 Operative Officer of Department of Financial Police (Semey) Ermek Kuzetayev said to employees of correspondent office, reporter of Internet-video portal "Stan.kz" (Semey) Igor Petrov and camera man Eugene Sazin about probable opening of criminal case. It would be done after pre-investigation check. Operative Officer of Department of Financial Police (Semey) Ermek Kuzetayev did not explain motives of criminal prosecution.

Eugene Sazin and Igor Petrov were recorded as individual businessmen, who cooperated with Internet-video portal "Stan.kz". There was an audit of tax committe and financial police from July, 2010. Financial policemen were interested in issues, related to the specific of journalistic activity, selection of topics for reviews and mechanism of output and distribution of information.

The staff of Internet-video portal "Stan.kz" thought that it was connected with professional activity of Eugene Sazin and Igor Petrov and cooperated with Internet- video portal "Stan.kz".

Earlier, heads of Internet-video portal "Stan.kz" have mentioned facts of pressure upon journalists during press conference on October 13, 2010. Last six months servicemen of Internet-video portal "Stan.kz" faced to strong pressure from power-holding structures.
