Threats to journalists– 2

Closure/suspenson of media– 1

Groudless blocking and restricting access to online editions —  7

Impending legal journalistic activity- 4

Criminal prosecutions and charges — 17 charges

of them  in court – 9

Guilty verdicts brought from January to March 2018 – 4

- libel and insult– 2 (out of 5)

- propaganda of terrorism– 1 (out of 1)

- incitement to social, national, tribal, racial, class or religious hatred  – 1 (out of 1)

Civil cliams to media and journalists–   24

Claimed amounts of compensation for moral damage  – 22 mln 200 thousand 1 tenge

Collected compensation for moral damage  - 90 thousand tenge

Judgments rendered –  21  (including 1 – in the cassation, 6 - in the appeal). Of those in favor of the media and the citizens – 10.
