International foundation for protection of freedom of speech «Adil\r\nSoz» has conducted a survey, concerning in the sphere of violation of\r\nright to freedom of expression, receiving and dissemination of information in October, 2014.
\r\nThere was following information:
-The investigative\r\nprocedure of case over attack on camera man of “Tengrinews” Yuri Syedin\r\nwas completed.
-An inhabitant of Balkhash\r\ncharged Oksana Zhivitskaya with slander and insult.
-District Court of Astana has considered suits\r\non recovery of more amount KZT92000000 (1USD=180.87) from public defender\r\nMusagali Duambekov.
-An inhabitant of Aktobe has demanded to\r\nrecover KZT 200000000 from editorial staff of newspaper «Diapasone».
-Administrative Court of\r\nBalkhash has found innocent journalist Andrey Tsukanov in commitment of offence\r\nunder article 357 “Arbitrariness” of Code of Administrative Offences of the\r\nRepublic of Kazakhstan.
In October, seven suits on protection of honour, dignity and\r\nbusiness reputation in the amount KZT two hundred and ninety\r\nnine\r\nmillion and three hundred and thousand were filed against media outlets and\r\ncitizens.
\r\nSeven judicial acts, concerning prior cases were performed, including one –\r\nhearing in appellate instance; two of them were performed in favour of\r\njournalists and citizens.
\r\n-15 charges with slander; 84 pre-trial claims and\r\nsuits on protection of honour, dignity and business reputation in the amount of\r\nKZT 224 millions and 100 thousand were brought against media outlets and\r\ncitizens in connection with exercise of right to freedom of expression,\r\nreceiving and dissemination of information, in general and since the beginning\r\nof the year.
